A bread slicer cuts a loaf into even slices in one pass. Even is the operative word: hand-cut bread varies, and in sandwich production that variance shows up as inconsistent portions and wasted ends.
The specification that matters is slice thickness, and it is fixed by the cutter fitted. A 12mm cutter gives standard sandwich bread; 20mm suits toast and thick-cut. Changing thickness means changing the cutter frame, not adjusting a dial — so decide what you slice before ordering.
Machines are commonly sold without a blade set so you can choose the thickness you actually need.
Yasaki supplies the range. See the JSL-31M bread slicer and the 12mm cutter.
If you slice more than one thickness regularly, budget for a second cutter frame — swapping is quicker than compromising.
We stock commercial kitchen equipment from brands that are serviced locally in Australia — which matters more across ten years than the purchase price does.
