Medical and laboratory refrigeration is specified differently from food refrigeration. What matters is the stability of the temperature, the record of what it did, and the alarm when it drifts — because the contents may be irreplaceable or clinically critical.

The range covers laboratory refrigerators and freezers, spark safe cabinets for flammable storage, breast milk refrigerators, fluid warmers and mortuary refrigeration, including bariatric capacity.

Each of these is built to a purpose and to the standards governing it. A breast milk fridge and a laboratory fridge look similar and are not interchangeable.
