Wallshelves

A wall shelf gets equipment and stock off the bench and onto the wall, which is the cheapest way to gain usable bench space in a kitchen that has run out of it.

Two types are stocked. A solid shelf gives a continuous surface and is easier to wipe down. A pipe shelf is open, so air moves and water drains — the better choice above a sink or a wash area where a solid shelf would trap moisture.

Wall shelves carry real weight once loaded. Fix into studs or use appropriate anchors, and check what is behind the wall before drilling in a commercial kitchen.
