The choice between them is about heat and about presentation. A single-layer cup needs a sleeve for anything above a flat white; a corrugated wall cup is insulated in itself, so it holds a full-strength long black without a second component to stock and hand over.
Cup and lid are matched by rim diameter, not by volume. A 90mm 12oz and a 90mm 16oz share a lid; a 98mm cup does not. Order the pair together.
