Napkins

Napkins are bought on fold and ply, and both affect what the customer experiences.

Ply is absorbency. One ply suits a quick-service counter where napkins are taken by the handful; two ply suits table service, where a napkin that falls apart reflects on the meal. Quilted stock sits at the top of the range and feels closer to linen.

Fold determines how it presents and which dispenser it fits. A 1/4 fold suits a counter stack or a basket; a 1/8 fold suits a dispenser and is the more economical choice at volume because customers take one at a time.

Bamboo stock is the option for venues moving away from conventional paper.
