Eco Sugarcane Range

Sugarcane bagasse is made from the fibre left after sugar is pressed — a by-product that would otherwise be waste, formed into packaging that is rigid, heat-tolerant and compostable.

It outperforms paperboard on exactly the food that gives paperboard trouble: hot, wet and oily. That is why it has become the default for burgers, fish and chips, curries and poke.

The range covers clamshells, compartment containers and lunch trays, deep bowls, plates, sushi trays and sauce cups.

One caution on the environmental claim: compostable here means commercially compostable, not home compostable or landfill-degradable. Check what your local facility actually accepts before telling customers it composts.
